Parents and caregivers are often expected to manage appointments, medications, advocacy, school communication, family life, and their own emotions with very little support. Over time, that load can become overwhelming.
Through short lessons, reflection tools, and peer-coaching support, SCFA™ helps caregivers pause, notice what is happening in their nervous system, and take small steps toward steadiness and care.
SCFA™ was created by Jen Perzow, a medical parent of three children with chronic physical or mental health conditions, with more than 20 years of experience in health policy, program development, implementation, and evaluation. SCFA™ has received CHEO funding to pilot and evaluate the program with caregivers.
